Broadway's Cheyenne Jackson is not only on the cover, but has been named OUT Magazine's Entertainer of the Year.

Cheyenne is featured in Out Magazine's annual "Out 100" list of notable gay and lesbian newsmakers of 2008. The magazine is currently on newsstands.

The magazine describes him as, "Handsome and talented, able to seduce audiences of all genders and ages, he's the elusive figure with the potential to demolish the theory that an out actor can't get plum roles."

Cheyenne Jackson made his Broadway debut understudying both male leads in the Tony Award-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. He later served as the standby for the character of Radames in Aida, then originated the role of Matthew in the off-Broadway production of Altar Boyz. He originated his first Broadway leading role in the musical tribute to Elvis Presley, All Shook Up. His performance as Chad earned him much critical praise, the Theatre World Award, as well as nominations from the Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor. In 2006, Jackson portrayed Mark Bingham in Universal Pictures' Academy-Award nominated film United 93. He also starred Off-Broadway in Nicky Silver's The Agony and The Agony with Victoria Clark. Jackson received a 2008 Drama Desk Award Nomination for Best Actor for his starring role as Sonny in Broadway's Xanadu, and gained critical acclaim for his turn as Joe Hardy in the Encores! run of Damn Yankees.

Other theatre notables also made the awardees list, such as Edward Albee, John Barrowman, Sir Ian McKellen and [title of show]'s Hunter Bell & Jeff Bowen.

Out Magazine is a popular gay men's fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazine was founded by Michael Goff in 1992 and quickly became the highest circulation of any gay monthly publication in United States. In April of 2008 the company merged with LPI whose other publications include The Advocate, HIV Plus, and The Out Traveler.

Fierce photo! Broadway represent! :]

why point out differences?

I prefer actors and actresses being recognized for their TALENT, not their sexual orientation. Your magazine only fosters discrimination!! Shame on you.
