SRT hosted its seventh annual benefit and cabaret event on November 17th at Birdland Jazz in Manhattan .

Contributing composers included: Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning, and Grammy Award-nominated Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island), Obie Award-winner Jeff Bowen ([title of show]), Eight-time Academy Award, seven-time Golden Globe Award, and six-time Grammy Award-winning composer and pianist Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Disney's The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, and many others), Academy and Tony Award-nominated, and Grammy Award-winning composer Henry Krieger (Dreamgirls, The Tap Dance Kid, Sideshow), and Tony Award-winning composers, lyricists, and collaborators Bobby Lopez & Jeff Marx (Avenue Q).

Performers included: Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show]), Matt Cavenaugh (A Catered Affair, Grey Gardens, Urban Cowboy and the upcoming revival of West Side Story), Rebecca Naomi Jones (Passing Strange, Wig Out!), Tony Award-nominated actress Celia Keenan-Bolger (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Light in the Piazza, and the revival of Les Miserables), Henry Krieger, performing his own work, Rick Lyon (puppeteer, designer, creator, and originator of several roles in the Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning musical Avenue Q) with Kermit the Frog, Paul David Story (Equus, The Cain Mutiny Court-Martial), and Paris Remillard and Kaitlin Kiyan from the recent Shakespeare in the Park revival of Hair.

The evening was hosted by Susan Blackwell, known for her starring role in [title of show], and our "Little Fairies" reprised a scene from SRT's 2008 production of Shakespeare's Midsummer.
